42k, ACT w/street disc, still has balance shafts, good grounds, poly hangers on the exhaust, no contact, fresh plugs, fresh fluids all around, fresh suspension, poly bushings there too, no AC, new lifters, silky smooth timing map, good a/f control, leak tested, bumped idle to keep vibe down. Done boost leak tests. I don't have things clunking or banging around... and I certainly didn't dump my ashtray full of change into the valve cover to create problems for myself. Tested the battery and alt too.

Considering I've never had the issue before on this car, and it really seemed to manifest with the rom change.

What did I miss?

as suggested why don't you toss a non-tephra patched map and copy of fuel and timing in the car to remove all doubt. if the partial throttle knock is as prevelant as you say then you won't even need to fully tune the car to come to a conclusion.

I think he is not concerned about the tephra version, just that rom in general.

Tephra sent us a preliminary final v7 to test, we found issues so we are testing again. I just loaded the latest version this morning and so far everything has been working. Once we test all the features and verify everything I am sure Tephra will create a new thread and release it. Very soon

We are testing so much because so many people have issues that they are causing by not following directions or not doing what the directions say to do, OR they really have no idea what they are doing and are in a testing thread trying to use it as a final version.

Soon....

Can I have a test copy of 96530006 v7? My car is almost completely stock (just an intake and exhaust) so it should be easy to test everything w/o the car itself being a variable.

I have changed a few things:
- fixed altmap by adc0f
- fixed AFR check
- added timer to AFR check
- added valet disable code when altmap by tps is selected
- moved map averaging code to make room
- made the category TephraMod-V7T6 in ecuflash
- added 40 (0x28) to the MAT code

As usual, please take the usual precautions with this ROM. I have made a few changes in this ROM so there is a possibility something might be wrong

If you can all re-test everything and let me know that would be awesome. This will be the final release of V7 unless something is broken :P
I have searched in here but couldn't find anything , so throwing it out here in case I missed it.

I see there is a V6 as posted on the very first page for 88840017, and just need to make sure that there isn't a V7T6 version for either 88840017 or 88840016?
