To edit the the 88840617 were are using the xml file which came with the 88840617 Test #2 zip file in the first post.

And we use the std xml files in ECUFlash 1.42 to open his original 88840016 ROM

Are you saying that the download is screwed for the patched ROM?
As soon as my mate gets to work, he is going to email the files off his laptop and I can forward them to you if needed.

Guys, make sure your old tephra mods from v5.10 aren't clashing with the new ones. I recommend running a second instance of the program off a clean install.

You can also try doing just the immobilizer disable, valet RPM increase, injector scaling and latency to try to see if the rom starts the car, then work your way up from there.

Done all of that....

That has given me an idea.
I am going to try using the V5.10 on my mates Evo9 and see what results we get.

Damn....there is no support for the 88840016 ROM in the V5.10 Tephta Mods.

I meet up with a few guys over the weekend at a dyno day and while chatting to them, discovered that they have also tried the 88840617 ROM on 2 other 88840016 Evo9's with the exact same results.

The cars just don't start.

It would seem extremely unlikely that we are all making the same mistake.

Tephra is it possible that the 88840017 ROM is not compatible with the 88840016 cars?
Here in South Africa, the Evo9's all seems to make use of the 88840016 ROM.
Any chance you can take a look/see where the problem might be
Thx

I guess I could always try a std 88840017 ROM and flash it on the 88840016 car and see if it will start.

I found that when I am running 96530706 in my JDM8MR that I had to copy the values for ECU Periphery00 (F9A) bits from my old rom to the new TephraMod v7 rom.

Nobody seems to know what these bits do, but when I copied the values across, the car fired up just fine!

edited to make my question clearer*

What's the xml do to make the load based boost tables (in load) look like psi based boost (in psi)? Is it as simple as adjusting the data values scaling from load8 to psi8? thanks! I have already adjusted all the necessary values for psi direct boost control.
