The data in the tables in your current ROM will look way different than the data in the tables in the example ROM.

Sweet, thanks for all your hard work.
Can't wait to get this installed when I get my car running again.

I was in the process of coppying the values from the patched rom, over to my current rom when I noticed that the axis scale didn't match. All the others did, but not this one.

Is there any reason why we can't use the example rom and swap over our fuel, timing, etc. tables to it?

Yes, the example ROM can be used, but its just a stock 96530006 ROM and not a tephra ROM.

Wow, scaling is WAY easier to understand and use with your rom.

I think I may have messed up the one that I was playing with for 9055 because there were multiple entries for the map16bit and nothing seemed to work right.

I have just a couple of quick questions. After rescaling should I return the left side of the MAP Sensor VE and Calibration table to its original values? I seem to remember this being the right way but it isn't in your instructions. Also I have my MAF scaled very differently than the evo MAF so I was curious if I should use the stock settings on this or my modified settings, I just wanted to know if you had any thoughts on this since I understand that it should work either way.

Also I'll be reading through all the SD threads one more time but I was curious if someone could expand upon what we need for logging. Specifically I was looking for how to set up the comparison between maf load and SD load as well as how to log SD load in general.

For quick and dirty, with your MAF and original ROM in place, log RPM, map, and uncompensated load.

Then plot a chart of map (horizontal axis) vs RPM (veritcal axis) and use the data (VE) as 100*load/map. Logworks can do this very nicely.

Or to be more precise and match maf load with SD load, log the above plus MAT, but have the load be baro+temp compensated load. Then, the data should be 100* Load/(MAP*(298/(273+MAT))), where MAT is in *C.

I'm going away for a few days, but once I get back I plan on messing with and tuning SD on my car. When done, I will most likely do a write-up. I may even venture to do a write on how to change all of the tables to psi based as well (like the fuel and timing maps). But, I'm wary of doing that for various reasons.

Anyway, good luck. It's nice to finally have SD for my ROM thanks to mrfred and jcsbanks.

I would keep your load scaling absolute rather than relative (since it is absolute). Also I've been brought up with metric, but it is easier to convert between load and MAP(kPa) since they are about the same in many driving situations.

Now that I've slaved away at porting all these patches (albeit with a bit of monetary encouragment in some instances), I have a favor to ask of those who are using it. With the car in SD mode, I'd love to see a dyno run with and without the MAF in the intake track. Very curious to see if removing it adds a bit of HP.

I do not have the SD patch up and running on my car yet, but Mr. Bradly posted what you are looking for in the dyno secion.

i been considering doing the SD swap. but my question is has it been flawless? is there bugs in it and how reliable is it. i am trying to think of the right way to say this but is it as safe as the MAF being in the car??
