Also, if I step it down quickly, it shows lean for a split second, which makes my car really bad to take off with when the engine isn't warmed up.
Check my 96530706 thread. I, and others, are experiencing the same problem. It is the IPW dipping and jaggedly jumping around in a certain map/rpm range. It seems to be about 65-85kpa/1800-2400 RPM.

jrohner, jcsbanks posted a thread about accel enrichment that will help you with your lean tip in. Basically you add a squirt of fuel asynchronously that correlates to tps changes.

But I am changing it to give me more resolution in my trouble area. So, I am changing it to 10 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 120, 408. The values for load range from about 70% on the low end up to 100% at the 100-120 area and 100% at 408. I have my RPM table at 100% in the mid range, tapering down on both ends.

Once I get these new settings dialed in, I will post it up. I was also thinking that my BOV (Synchronic) may be the issue in that area, but haven't adjusted it yet to see. My logs didn't seem to point to anything as the issue.
You are using the 4bar?

Would anyone be willing to share some base SD values for a 35r/cam'd motor with me? I'm working on a 35r equipped car with no previous MAF logs so I'd like to get a good base MAP to get me on my way quickly so that I can dive right into fine tuning rather than starting from scratch.

I fully realize that the values will need to be tweaked I just want to get right too a base map rather than starting from scratch to save me time.

Thanks

Tried opening this in ECU flash and got error message 'Unknown Rom Image'

Any help
Thanks

You have to have the 96530706.xml files in the evo folder of ECUflash for it to identify the ROM.

By changing the ROM ID, it changes the required xml files.

What are the key items that should be logged before converting to SD? I'm assuming you would want to log all driving habits and some WOT pulls....correct?

For those who may have chose the SSI 3.5 bar MAP sensor.

<scaling name="SSI kPa 3.5 bar" units="kPa" toexpr="(x/3.5)-80" frexpr="(3.5*x)+280" format="%.1f" min="0" max="400" inc="1" storagetype="uint16" endian="big"/>

This started the car in the garage and got it driving around quite well. I did not boost on this. It starts/drives/idles like my Evo which is running off the well supported JDM Map sensor. So I believe this will work or if nothing else a really awesome starting point. I did the math, but did not actually "verify" by doing WOT pulls.

Do you log baro, or airflow, or whatever map sensor you're running, or all? I would like to get as many logs as possible before converting. Thanks for the help.

If my max value is 30psi (206 kPa) at 315 load, does that mean that would be the values that go into the bottom section of that table? ie 206/315? And then scale it down from there?

IIRC you log MAP, load, and rpm. Then you might want something to compare against to see if your sitting on the same tune when you're done such as timing. Using map, load, and rpm you can verify when you have a less than 100% efficient engine and come up with the RPM ranges and approximate efficiency of your low and high RPM driving. Keep in mind that WOT and idle are stupidly easy to tune but cruise and light acceleration tend to cause greater issues.

Any pointers on how to ease that issue or driving techniques that might make it easier? Or, just drive like you normally would and log?

Edit: Is the load (%) actual load value logged in 2 byte? Or is it an actual percentage of load?

30 psi is more than 206 kPa. You need to add in atmospheric pressure.
