Help with scaling - FIC Bluemax 1450's
I got some good starting points from Bryan, but I've got some work to do. I realized I don't totally understand the process and the data - as my last set of injectors were too easy to scale
This is on pump gas.
Scaling:1624
Latencies:
5.424
4.032
2.232
1.464
1.176
0.864
0.600
The car starts and idles great.
My long term trims LOW - just stay pegged at 12.5
My long term trims MID have done the following. With the 1624 scaling they are shown in 1st Cruise. Because everthing looked very high I knocked down the scaling to 1535, and the trims are then shown in 2nd cruise.

So I have a couple of questions.
1. Which area of the plot on the MID trims do I use? They change alot. After 16 mins they still jump around???
2. Why are my LOW trims pegged at 12.5, this is with both scaling numbers?

What about my MID's what area of the plot contains the valid info?
LTFT are the learned values from STFT.
STFT move into LTFT and then STFT resets and trims as necessary. Rinse, lather and repeat.
It's good to look at STFT as well as that will tell you what it is doing at that very minute to compensate fueling.
Remember you have to reset the ECU on the Evo 8 after every scaling and/or latency change.

OK, getting better.
Scaling: 1329
Latencies: Same as above.
LTFT Low: 7
LTFT Mid: I'm not sure. After 4 cycles they were -4, but then jumped up to 1 by the 6th cycle... still don't know what area is considered valid.

Do I need to adjust latencies to balance things out or just try one lower step in the scaling?

Mid is cruise, etc
Scaling changes have much more effect on global fueling and WOT than latency changes.

Not yet. I will be.
I dropped the scaling down one notch (1271) this morning for my commute and it made the trims widen.
Low:+8
Mid: -8
So I'm going to go back up and adjust the 14V setting like Bryan suggested.
Here's the plot from this morning.

Put the scaling up to 1392.
Latencies:
5.424
4.032
2.232
1.512
1.2
0.864
0.6
Still not there.
Low = 12
Mid = -4 to -5 ish
I guess I'll raise latencies some more in the 10-12V range?

F' me. I'm going around in 16 min circles.
I went out for a few hours and didn't make any progress. I got some stuff screwed up in my head regarding latency and I believe I made some poor adjustments and I'm about back to where I started.
I made myself a cheat sheet regarding scaling, and latencies with respect to A/F's, fuel, and trim percentage. No more getting mixed up and making the wrong adjustment.
