Patch Request: Improved 2-step control/resolution

Has anyone looked at the stationary rev limit code to see if its possible to increase the resolution and maybe unlock some parameters ?

How does the factory 2-step work anyway, is it just fuel cut ? If so, could this be changed to spark cut + faster reacting bounces?

Side note: What did we discover max timing retard to be? -15 deg?

what do you mean "increase the resolution"?

It is a fuel cut (99% sure), just like the factory rev limiter. It locks right on to whatever RPM I have set, I'm not sure how you could get "faster reacting bounces" other than making more power. I also believe they do fuel cut for a reason, there are a few explanations floating around.

Max timing on a stock ECU should be -10*

Check terphramod v7t (v6 testing thread). It should be out for the IX ecu any time and has a launch map.

Well if you've ever heard an AEM two step it sounds like the car is about to explode

It's also able to build more boost, seems like it'd be a worthy mod for the stock ECU.

yeah V7 will have launch maps - which lets you run whatever timing/fuel you want specifically for launching...

that in combination with the stat rev limiiter should provide as much boost as you want... someone just dialed up 20psi on a 35R without too much trouble

Not yet, RTF v6testing T?

The "faster reacting bounces" I think you are speaking about are related to the amount of power the car is making at the line, not necessarily the tune/tables (obviously one creates the other, but if the car can't make the power changing the tables all you want won't change anything).

gear boxes, transfer cases, and rear diffs everywhere are going to hate you for this. I love it!!!
