Ecu internal Counter and MFI relais (fan)

Form the evo 8 manual:

NOTE: If the engine coolant temperature reaches 110°C (230°F) or higher, the cooling fan control runs the
cooling fan for up to 5 minutes even after the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" (OFF) position [the fan
stops its rotation when the engine coolant temperature decreases to 110°C (230°F) or lower.]
The main fan control relais is wired to the MFI relais.

i think its just the delay for the mfi relais which is set to 5 min when coolant is above 110 degC.
Under normal temps it is active for some seconds, then you hear a clicking sound when it switches off.
After reflashing its emmediately clicking.

Does anyboy came accros the coolant temp, or the counter for the mfi relais?
anything that could help?

that would be a non-ecu circuit..

the ECU doesn't have power when the ignition is locked.

(its got backup power for RAM, but not running power )

Sucky... would have been cool to be able to change it to keep the fans on for a couple minutes after shut down.

In the wiring diagram there is no sign off a non-ecu circuit.

MFI relay is switched on by the ecu itself. And the MFI relay is connected straight to the battery. The ingition wire is just a trigger to wake up the ecu.

on Evo7-8: ecu pin 38 swicht on the MFI relay
