Simple question... If I run windows on parallels on my macbook pro, will i be able to use my tactrix cable and evoscan? Any special setup that is needed? Seems like it should work fine.

Yes, i do it all day long.

 

And hell even the mac version of Evoscan may work for you particular model of car.

thanks guys! I didnt even know there was a mac version. I just read the system requirements page and saw windows windows windows... haha... i just figured there wasnt one.

 

i tune on the windows side of my macbook because i like to log with evoscan. there is a mac version of ecuflash and there are a few loggers for mac as well.

 

Tried downloading ecuflash and all i get is 404 file not found

 

You need to run your mac in bootcamp, it's the best way to do it. Windows doesn't see the hardware correct sometimes. I never had gotten the parallels to work as I wanted.

 

I use parallels everyday.

I use mine with boot camp. Works like a champ, just wish I had a second USB port.

 

Yep, no worry under Parallels... Evoscan is a bit slower but it works in my case, even with USB2Serial on AEM UEGO Wideband... Regarding Ecuflash, OS X versions are usually older (actually 1.38 vs 1.42) but it's useful to work without starting win-doz ;-)

I run using VMWare and have had all sorts of problem getting Evo Scan to log my ZT2. Other than that, everything works perfectly. I can also log the ZT2 serperately using the Zeitronix Software.
