I dont understand how my tuner logged boost while tuning if i didnt have a 3 bar map and he didnt put a map sensor in. I started doing some datalogging with evoscan and want to log boost, afr's etc.. Just curius because I'm just starting to learn more about my car as i start moding it. Thanks guys!

I'd assume he guestimated using your boost gauge unless your boost gauge has an output for logging

Did he tell you to set it to a certain boost?

If you dont have one of the intake pipes that completely alters the MAF (i.e. ARC, HKS, etc.) you can actually estimate boost off load if you know what to look for. Somethings like cams and exhaust will alter it but as relatively stock as your car is it wouldnt be too hard to estimate.

Option 2 is as has been stated he just did a good job of watching the gauge if he was in the car.

Who is the tuner?

I have a auto meter boost gauge which i think is off a little because it bounces around from 22psi to 24 psi at peak boost. On my dyno sheat it says i hit 22.3 psi max.

If you were dyno tuned, then he probably teed in a vac line, as all dynos are meant to log boost directly from a boost source on the car.

a good tuner can detect subtle changes in air pressure by feel... I'm kidding
