I am finally converting from 94170015 to the 96530006 and have a major problem. I hope someone on here can help me out.

I downloaded the 0006 from the wiki and found a ton of tables that are not in the 0006 but are in the 0015. I searched, begged, and searched some more for as many of the tables as possible. I finally have about 98% of the tables I had in the 0015 rom.

I then converted over my immob, fuel, timing, MAF, and idle settings in an attempt to test the new rom. Much to my amazement the car started right up and idled quite well. BUT....

I attempted to go for a test drive and the car won't rev past 3500 and acts like it is being cut out. The CEL will flash like crazy too. Keep in mind I did load the v5.10 tephra mod version of the 0003 rom. So, I checked to see if the valet mode was set or something.....no it wasn't on. Just to be safe I turned off all of the tephra mods.

Again I attempted to go for a drive. Same result.

If someone would be so kind as to take a look at my xml definitions to make sure i have all of the addresses correct, I would be so greatful. In my attempt to bring over every table I could, I am almost certain I messed up an address or few.

PM me your email so that I can send you my .xml files. Heck, I would send over my entire rom if needed.

Once I get this issue resolved, the next step for me will be full SD.

why not just redownload ecuflash and start from scratch and set your immobilizer on the new rom file and transfer your fuel/timing maps only? If you have your stock rom that would be the easiest fix for you to confirm everythings where it should be.

 

Yeah the car is back on the 94170015 right now and works perfectly. I have stock roms so converting it back isn't the issue. My problem is that I have just about every possible table for the 94170015 rom and want to be the same way with the 96350006.

I started again with a clean 0006 and am working through the issues. I seems that there is quite a few addresses that offer messed up data on some of the tables. I am compiling a listing of the tables that I find that have issues.

 

I am also looking into the 96530706 rom and the xmls that go with it. It seems to follow the simular errors.

It could be my xml files are screwed. GRRR that would suck to have to start all over again building it back up.

 

So there is 22 tables that have screwey info in them. Most look like the addresses are wrong in my opinion.

Thats the same thing i have, what boost cut delay\load tables do u using, seems problems in that ... And where u got MAF Scaling address for 96530006 ?

 

Have you tried a clean install of EcuFlash to make sure it's not accidentally picking up any old XML definition files?

 

can you post the rom your using and the rom you originally had?

 

The tables I am using are all stock. The car acts like it is hitting fuel cut when trying to go into boost.

 

Maybe u have the same problem that i did ... Do your Timing map (Hi/Lo) is 20 columns? Cos my old rom that i converted for TephraModV7 is 19 column, new TephraMod is 20 column, so i decided to edit TephraMod to be 19 column through editing map definitions ... and it was mistake.
Converted it all back to 20 column, and it work flawless ...

 

My 94170015 has 19 in the x and 20 in the y as does the new 0006.

 

Is valet mode activated in the tephra xml?

 

Uncheck all tephra mods as the valet reset on ignition will sometimes mess up stuff...

 

All of the tephra mods are off except the Knock Cel. Still same thing.

 

Post up your ROM and I will take a look to see if anything looks out of place.
