Quick Fueling Question
I'm a noob here, and a noob to mapping any sort of car. However I'm an Electronics Engineer, and know my way around a PC, so I should be able to pick things up quite quick.
Recently I checked my plugs and they looked a tad white, indicating it's running lean, I had a Ralliart map flashed to the stock ECU, since I have reverted back to the stock map, because I know it's a bit richer.
Getting my wideband soon so I can measure the AFR's. I've read the sticky at the top titled "How to tune Evo's", and I understand what needs to be done in order to change the fuel map in order to try and achieve the desired AFR's.
What I'm not sure about is, what AFR's are safe for an Evo with basic stage 1 mods (exhaust, induction kit, BOV). I want safe, but I also want to get as much power out of the RA map without going too lean. What AFR's should I aim for on idle, cruise and WOT?
Also, just want to double check is it ok to leave the Ralliart timing, etc alone and only change the fuel maps to gain the desired AFR's? Or when I adjust fueling, do I need to change other parameters to suit?
Cheers!

So 14.7ish for both idle AND cruise?? Then 11.0 - 11.5 on full throttle/WOT?
What do you mean by "Possible 12.0 on E85 full tilt"? What's the E85??
Also, do I have to adjust anything else when editing the fuel maps, or is it ok to leave timing, etc alone (for now anyway).

Yes, 14.7 for all normal operating conditions. You can't tune this anyway unless you disable feedback and / or do some narrowband simulation.

The only [obvious] thing I would add to his statement is that if longevity is a concern, richer than that target is usually better than leaner on spoolup.
You can really be a little more daring and go toward ~11.5 AFR on pump gas, but unless you plan on keeping a very close eye on things there aren't much by way of gains for the risk:

You can further advance timing if you would like, but it seems like you are a total newb, so go back and read the how to tune an evo thread a couple of more times, then read alot more about tuning, and then read some more about tuning before you go and blow up a perfectly good V motor.
You never *have to* tune anything unless something is wrong
E85 is ethanol based fuel that is semi-common in the states.

Perfect mate! All I want to do right now is to get my AFR's correct with the Ralliart map, after that I'll be doing A LOT of reading before playing with timing, etc.
I've printed off the "How to tune an Evo" thread so I can read it over and over.
Don't think we get any ethanol fuel over here, the best stuff is Shell V-Power which is 99 RON. From logs that I've done with the Ralliart map I only get 1-2 knock counts occasionally, so it's not really lean, but white plugs make me want to get it checked and adjust fueling as needed.
