need help with 96420008 to 94170015

Im trying to load the 94170015 to my original 96420008 rom and the car just wont turn over. Is there something special you must do with the immobilizer that I am missing or what?

At this point I want to just disable the damn thing.

Ive tried applying the html line of code under the xml file before the rom code and set the periphery0 to the 56D2 to disable the immob but it didnt work.

I then tried some lines of code from the wiki and went to the blobit menu and set disable immob to 1 and that didn't work.

Why wont this damn car turn over with the 94170015 rom? Its not tuning related, because the car fired right up when i flashed the stock 96420008 rom and confirmed i was applying codes properly by changing immob code on original rom and car didnt turn over just like its doing with the 94170015.....

I had your exact rom and switched to ironically the exact same other rom to get Speed density and tephra mods. All i had to do was disable the immobilizer bit. You don't set the bit to 1 you set it to 0.

Add these tables to your evo7base.xml

I switched from thE 96420008 to the 96530006 for tephra and SD support and kept the immobilizer using the procedure explained in the wiki. Member jba3 explained it I think in the Tephra v6 thread too.

I just did this, if you give me some info, i can point you to the right place. i did mine myself, reading two threads on here.

One, you have to copy the imobilizer. Two, you have to add a section of code in your 97140015.xml so that a table called ECUPeriphacy7 shows up. Then you copy the tables there from your 008 map and overwrite what is in your 0015 map.

I can help, pm me.

Edit: Better yet, i will send you the .xml for both the 008/011 map and the 0015 that I have that have the code added for the table ECU Periphary 7.

Utilize both of these to swap those tables, and then the imobilizer. I can not for th elife of me find that thread that I read to do the same thing. Either way, dig and look for it and it tells you, or you can use the .xml's I have. I followed those instructions to the letter, and it fired up the first time.

specs in signature but they are not 100% accurate since the injectors are not installed yet. currently 850 fic's are in.

You see that mr turco is helping me right? hes done probably 100 cars with this rom. Unless the periphary7 is a rare thing to have to do, im afraid he probably already done it

personally i know how to add the xml lines and stuff, and ive already did all this before
i even contacted turco. It seems like my ecu is a bastard ecu and refuses to work with tephra.

You're welcome to send me a rom tho and ill give it a go. just give me your email and ill send my current
working rom to you.

pm your email I'll shoot you an old rom i was using with tephra's 5.10 patch and 880cc injectors by precision. It should at least start but perhaps run rich given the injectors you have on the car.

I have tried all the low hanging options. I emailed mrfred to possibly see if he could help. or hopefully roadspike has something i haven't thought of.

I doubt it but since we both have apparently the same starting rom i'm hoping the file i sent will just start the car, it at least worked for me in the past.

Apologize guys, was not trying to interfere, or cause greef. I am sure you know what is up. I just had a similiar issue, where the periphery 7 was forgoten, once i changed that we got the map to fire. Sorry to upset anyone.

I had not seeen that anyone had thrown it out there...lol.
