I would think for Valet mode to be effective, you would need to lower it a bit. I would start with what Tephra suggested and set it at 2500 and see if it starts and runs.

not to hijack but do you think disabling the Auto-Valet On Fresh Ignition would have also helped with his problem?

yeah - well thats the whole point of autovalet.

but 5.10 still had some bugs with valet kicking in after a flash
