Attached are several xml files that may make switching over from 94170015 variants to 96530006 variants more easy. I have used different names on several tables then what some may be use to so I hope this doesn't actually cause more confusion. The tables that exist in both ROMs that I was able to find are labeled exactly the same. This hopefully helps ease the switch by reducing the chance to move incorrect tables around.

Copy all the files from the folder and paste into the folder found at c:\ -> Program Files [(x86) if on x64 system] -> OpenEcu-> EcuFlash ->rommetadata -> mitsubishi -> evo
Allow it to replace all files.

Something to note, there is now a "scaling.xml" file that contains all of the scaling equations. I think this helps reduce the number of repeated scaling equations and makes them easier to find since they only show up in one xml.

I have also included the alternate ECUID system that tephra has used. To get it to identify your ROM correctly, you'll likely need to open up the ROM as the stock base rom, then change the ECUID to one of the following.

94170015 is the stock rom with load based boost control
94170515 is the tephra V5.10 patched 94170015
94171515 is the tephra V5.10, MRFred Direct Boost, and JCSBanks Speed Density patches

96530006 is the stock rom with load based boost control
96530706 is the tephra V7 patched rom using load based boost control
96531706 is tephra V7, MRFred Direct Boost Control, and JCSBanks Speed Density (sorry if this is different then what phenem posted, I used this because on the 94170015 rom the second to the end digit was already 1 and didn't want to mess with it)

When there are replacement tables used (tephra gear based boost, BIGMAPS, etc.), I have set it up so the stock tables no longer show up in the modified ROMs. I have made the xml files as complete as possible, so even if you want to stay on 94170015 it will probably be a more complete XML file then most out there.

I have also tried to use the user level stuff on the 9653 variants to make it easier to use during tuning.
Beginner will only bring up the typical maps for fuel, ignition, and boost tuning.
Intermediate will bring up the more in-depth items that get used on occasion but not for normal tuning.
Advanced brings up all the tuning maps but leaves out the patch changes that are code based.
Developer brings up everything else

Thank you really for taking the time, and including some of those hard to find tables. This is why I like forum communities. The people that take the time, observe and collect data, and then post a writeup or instructions. These ROM's are the shiz!

 

I downloaded the files into the directory as per your instructions, and opened my existing 94170015 hex file (a tephra V5.10 map). I used the ECUID to resave it as the 94170515, and closed it. When I attempted to reopen it, I was thwarted by a non-existing ROM error.

I'm not quite sure if this makes things easier or more confusing. Like many, I'm just trying to convert my 94170015 to the only supported version (96530706), but I don't see it written clearly anywhere on the sequence of steps to do this.

 

Yeah, I must not had draged that xml into my folder when zipping it.

I have re-uploaded the folder with 94170515.xml

If you are using direct boost control, use the 94171515.xml

I realized I had changed the injector scaling equation because of another thread.

I meant to reupload with the original equation, but forgot to do it. Not that big of a deal if you are aware of it, but if you aren't it could cause some problems.

I have also changed a lot of the scaling stuff as well to better match what I'm use to seeing in DSMLink (load in g/sec, for example). Figured it may throw some people off.

 

I really like the way these are set up. Could you just help me convert back over to load instead of grams/second?

 

Where are the attachements???? I want to get my ROMs right before I make the switch from 94170015. Together I am sure we have just about every table that has been defined. I just want to see if I missed any.

I noticed the scaling differences...I am in the process of converting to 70015 from 70008 (i know, i'm a year behind) and was getting a headache finding all 0015 table defs I have for 0008...so thanks again.

I got most of the 96530006 stuff from yours actually, they helped a TON.

Once I had the 94170015 xml organized the way I wanted it, I pretty much just moved all the addresses over from yours. I think I picked up a few extra tables along the way, but 90% of it is from gearheads files that are now part of the offical 1.42 release. I used his idea for the 96530006_base and evo7base_20091012 files too and just expanded out the idea a little more to include modified roms and the scaling file.

Best part, if it's a mod, you can just edit the relalitively small ROM specific ID or createa new ROM ID xml so it doesn't mess up any of the other xmls. If it's a map that will show up in all versions of a rom, you drop it in the 965230006_base file.

Applaud, if you want a copy, send me a PM with an email address. I haven't put it back up because JackofTrades is using a similar system and I don't want it to cause problems for the official Tephra release stuff. I sent JofT a copy and they can figure out if it will be good or bad for the end product.

 

So if I wanted to use PSI based boost controll I can just copy and paste that patch from mfreds thread into the XML for 96530006?
