on a different note, can i still use bits to lock the car in open loop?
Yeah, I disabled closed loop on mine in the periphery and it works great.

Interesting, that is something I have done (well run in open loop anyway). I wonder if thats some of it. I noticed tip in seems to be the hardest part to tune of the whole SD thing. Idle and WOT are easy. Even cruise isnt bad, but that low vacuum/low boost area is a biotch...especially on the smaller turbos.

I tested running in open loop as well and this issue persisted. So, I know closed loop isn't the cause.

For tip-in with SD, use the asynch_vs_tpsdelta table. My tip in, idle, curise and WOT were all just about perfect. It's just this one damn map/rpm zone where the IPW wants freak out for some reason.

I didn't mean it fixed the issue we're seeing; if it did, I wouldn't know of the issue since I've been running open-loop almost the whole time I've been running an Evo 8 ECU. I meant that using periphery to disable closed-loop works great, and that getting rid of closed-loop works great.

i experienced the same issues on the 94170015 rom with an omni 4-bar. i changed over to the 96530706 and still get the same. i have logs for the 9653 if you want them but none for the 9417. if you do need logs displaying the symptoms on the 9417 rom i can reflash i guess.

No need to reflash. Just the fact that you had experienced it on another ROM helps out.

I don't need any asynch tables. I just need some logs if you can, described in the fitst post. I want to know if there is a ROM that definitely does not have this issue.

Would you mind posting a log of what I have described in post #1? I just want to verify via logs to be sure that it is OK with that ROM.

Thanks
