I have seen people putting -10 in the timing areas where the 2step is for the best buildup of boost.
Ok thanks for the help. I will try this. I had the same problem with my STI. I think the ecu would pull timing after staying on the 2 step for too long because the idiot in the other lane couldn't stage right.

Don't stay on it for so long. Also adjust with the timing settings on the 2 step. Maybe instead of -10 you can put 0. It will still make boost.

For some reason I thought the ecu would only pull out a maximum of 4 degrees... I'm gonna mess around with mine now and see what I can do.

How bad is using a 2 step like this on the turbo? People say it is not good on it at all. Im talking with settings like -10 timing and 10 afr.

Thanks

8 degrees wont build that much boost though, anyone else have an opinion on how much damage this can cause to the turbo?

Stock turbo wheel will be more resistant than, say, a TME... its still not great for it but it isn't necessarily the worst.

I personally think the increased knock and possible damage from going all the way to -10 are not worth the extra couple of lbs that you get, especially since you will build most of that instantly as load starts to increase. I recommend something closer to 5* or wherever you don't knock when you start to let out the clutch.

Where is the "2 step area" of the map ? ?

Yes, I know I could just log it for myself....but we have all of this experience on these boards and everyone is so secretive.

from talking to a few people I've heard that if you the rev the engine 2-3 times b4 you lay on the 2-step it reduces the knock count vise going into the 2-step right away.

^ This is true. I "pulse" it up to the 2 step and then lay into it and it keeps it from knocking.
