I recall John had found part of the knock per cylinder routine just before he changed cars. Since then haven't heard a word or maybe it was decided it wasn't feasible. Anyway:

J&S has a knock tuning box for evos now. Allows for independent knock control. ie if a cylinder knocks that cylinder looses some timing and then it tries to add it back.

My question, given the ecu development is the J&S box worthwhile. Is there individual knock control coming?

 

If you ask me, it is already here... maybe not fine tuned in understanding yet.
