Tuning for different altitudes & air densitys
If a car were tuned for 5,000 MSL (SLC, Utah) via AccessPort on 91 Octane and then driven at 1,000 MSL (Texas) on 93 octane, what kind of changes could I expect? If the more dense air here in Texas is matched with the fueling of the 5000 MSL tune, would that give me Lean AFR's? Would I have to be worried about knock with subtle daily driving until I got it tuned at Cobb in Dallas?
TIA!
higher boost leaner afr... but 93 oct should make it ok since the higher octane...
I live at 5000ft and my 2byte load is 330 and load calc is 300. Now when I go to sea level they are exactly the same. so the whole thing about load going up is very incorrect!
