Tactrix Cable Issue

Looked on here still havent found an exact answer. I purchased this cable from Evoscan, OpenPort 1.3U, and when i hook it up to my evo 9, all the ACD lights bling and ABS, or just the tarmac light. I have evoscan 2.6 installed. Any ideas or answers would help. Bought the cable a week ago if that helps.

If you are getting the ACD ans ABS blinking lights (or just the tarmac lights) w/evoscan 2.6 installed then it indicates that it is working. Are you having any other issues? logging is OK? connections? Not clear on what is your question.

When working correctly the 1.3U will blink all three ACD lights plus ABS until you are doing above 10 mph. Then it will stop blinking and only the 1 ACD light will be on, whichever one you have it set to.

Understood, but evoscan will not let me connect for whatever reason, it just keeps going through the connection cycles, but never actually connects to the ecu.

Can I have a lil history on the car? Any chance it has a modded ROM loaded up?

What is your baudrate in evoscan?

You have the wrong drivers....

I was using my friends older tactrix for a while and then when I got my own, it never connected. So I reinstalled the drivers and voila!

Are you sure it is openport 1.3 and not 2.0.

I bought one two weeks ago and it was a 2.0.

That could be the issue cause i was using my friends older cable and then i went out and got one myself. So i'll give that a go and see what happens.

Ok, so i uninstalled both my evoscan's version 2.4 and 2.6 and my ecuflash. Restarted, reinstalled evoscan 2.6 and the drivers. Still no luck.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Also make sure your car has enough voltage. I was surprised that I had to actually start my car and let it run for min to build up some juice before it would connect. What surprised me was that I just drove my car the day before.

before you try to connect, open the wideband dropdown menu in evoscan and make sure no wideband is checked.
