How To: Speed Density on the evo8 using tephra v7/Phenem pre-patched roms

I think I got confused again. I have IAT sensor wired to my pin 96 and my Convert IAT to MAT table is set to 0x03. This means that I will be using my IAT sensor for SD right?
I will be using jcsbanks' Speed Density patch on my teprha V5 rom.
I just can't access the xml files posted here:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...e-logging.html
So I won't be able to log MAT.
Does it sound I have the logic right or am I way off.
Really appreciate all the help so far guys.
That patch is needed if you want to wire your MAT sensor into the fuel temp adc. If you are using the MAF IAT temp pin, then you don't need that patch. But, you still need to add your MAT scaling to the SD programming table for IAT.
Also, if you are using your MAF IAT pin, then you should be able to log your MAT simply from the IAT request, adjusting the formula if necessary for your sensor.
At least that was my understanding from way back when. I have my Evo 8 MAT sensor wired into the fuel temp ADC and when I was running SD I used the MAT patch (9653).

So I started tuning for SD today, which brings me to my next question. What AFR ratio am I targeting while driving around in vacuum (maybe even 5psi or lower). When in vacuum should afr be as close to 14.7 as possible?
I looked at my old logs and see they are between 13.0 afr and 15.5 when accelerating.

Hello,
I'm planing to convert an Evo 8 engine to SD with Omni 4 bar map and GM iat.
I dont have any logs on maf, the injectors are stock.
Also the car will need a new tune on the timing fuel and boost control part.
I read a lot of theme about the SD tune.
So let see how to do it ?
First time start up the car with 1:1 MAP and adjust the RPM VE table to get in line the idle afr and idle trim ? than smooth the table from idle rpm areas up to boost .
Than lets do some cruesing logs on 2000, 2500, 3000 and 3500 rpm and stay in closed loop.
Let see the stft+ltft cruesing logs and adjust the rpm ve and map tables.
But than how to make the 3D VE map excel to see where to adjust on the MAP table ? l2r99gst if you read it coud you help me how to do it ?
If the idle trims are in line, and I have no any fuel tune on the car maybe a good idea to highlight the boost aree and write in the map 11 every where to see where to adjust the MAP table until 100load will mean 0psi, 200load 14.5 psi and the map afr is closer to the wbo2 afr ?
I can make fine tune with the RPM ve table to get the map afr closer to the wbo2 afr ? and that is all ? Is it correct a way ?
THE RPM ve tables is something like a softer final tune table ?
If you are ok on SD with stock injectors the new bigger injector calibration is the same way as on maf ? The FIC 1450 is coming soon.
Is it ok to tune SD tables with MrFred wideband close loop control patch and aem uego, but in the fuel table closed loop area write 14.7 ? I have no any stock front o2 sensor
Any other future mods what will improve the engine VE, just readjust the RPM ve table to get back the older logs afr values ?

bump for answer please
Where to downloaded or how to make3D VE map excel to see where to adjust the SD table from the LTFT fuel trims logs ?
If the LTFT is negative i have to lowering the rpm ve or raiseing the map ve ?

Sorry I've been out of town. Man you asked about 30 questions, answering all of them is going to be nearly impossible. I will say that most of your questions/ideas you are correct and have the right idea. The only thing I don't understand is this 'excel 3D VE map' idea you are talking about, can you try and explain it a little better or differently? More specifically, what are you trying to accomplish in doing so?
Again, almost all of your questions I'm going to say 'yes, that's right' to from the injector swapping to wideband.
