DS, I think that you may have gotten a corrupt download. When you download the 96531706 file there should be a bin or hex file and then a set of xml's. You need to put these xml's in to your ecuflash evo folder. I would redownload the package and place the xmls in the correct ecuflash folder.

Also another thing that I am noticing is the error that you are recieving [02:46:34.952] Unable to find parent metadata TephraMOD-96530706-v7, this leads me to believe that the correct xmls are not in the folder they need to be in.

These file should be in C:\Program Files\OpenEcu\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo
It might be under Program Files (x86) if you are using a 64 bit processor. Try that out and let us know if it works.

thanks. i think i figured it out.

i came to the conclusion the 1706 xml is JUST the SD portion of it all. so i opened up 0706 copied all the info minus ROMID section to the 1706 xml, and then moved it to the openecu\...evo folder after naming it accordingly.

this brought up all the tables and values. everything looks right now. thanks for the help though.

You don't even have to cut n paste, the 0706 is the base file and the 1706 is the SD patch. You just put both of those XML's in the Ecuflash Rommetadata folder and it will all open up fine in Ecuflash.

i tried that before the copy paste method, and it didn't work. in fact that photo i posted was with both xml files in the folder, renamed to just the ROM IDs.

i did your way again just to verify. here's what happens.

Also, if you are using your MAF IAT pin, then you should be able to log your MAT simply from the IAT request, adjusting the formula if necessary for your sensor.

At least that was my understanding from way back when. I have my Evo 8 MAT sensor wired into the fuel temp ADC and when I was running SD I used the MAT patch (9653).
just to clarify the RED, i DO NOT have to have the GM IAT sensor in my UICP? i can just run the MAT sensor wire from the MAF harness to the fuel temp pin on my ECU? or am i completely off on this one?

nevermind, found my answer

in the screenshot above, if you notice on the 5th option in Speed Density Programming, is it supposed to look like that?

Don't think that section matters, look under the SD tuning section and verify the scalings look correct there. I believe they start at 260*. You'll be able to verify by the IAT's you log in EvoScan

Sorry about the scalings before I just looked at my rom and these are the scalings that I have in my rom. The scalings above are for the SD IAT ADC Scaling (Insert MAT Sensor Scaling). I will edit my post above and remove the link. Sorry about that.

i decided to load up my SD ROM tonight to see if it would idle. it did idle fairly well after about 3 seconds of an extremely rich stumble.

i made some changes to the RPM VE tables to see if i could see some changes. as of right now i decreased the VE values by 20 in the idle range and it idled great swinging between 14.5-15.5 i know i need to check the LTFT low but it's a little late for that. STFT were swinging between -12 and -8.

i then did a couple easy laps around the block. during stable RPMs in 2nd gear, it was around the same area as idle as far as AFRs go. but i did notice after the decel lean, it would go very rich again sometimes 10.5 and then slowly lean itself back to 14.7ish. and by slowly i mean i would take about 10 seconds. anyone else react like this?
