Woot Woot FINALLY................ got the MapTracer to work. LOL
i got mines to work yesterday.. reinstalled it and logged my 1 byte load an ecuload . of course that made the trace weird so i copied the 1byte data and dropped it under ecuload . now im just going to log my 1byte as ecuload so i dont have to copy and past so much.
Finally got my laptop to cooperate w/ me, and got a clean v.7 rom running, so of course, it was time to see if I could get the map tracer to work for me... Thanks to fosty's efforts w/ the wiki, just got it to work w/ my v7 rom... Thank you!!! Well done, sir.
Like mentioned in here already, the main reason everyones map tracer doesn't
work is because of the load value isnt in the log that it needs to show load on the map.
In v2.6, if you delete LoadCalc the map tracer stops working, yet on the beta 2.7 if you
dont log LoadMUT2Byte & RPMMUT2Byte it stops working.
So v2.6 = map tracer is looking for the log with LoadCalc, if this value doesn't exist in your
log it simply wont light up any cells in map tracer.
Example: If you were logging 2byte load and the map tracer didn't work in version 2.6 you would
change the 2byte load title in your log to "LoadCalc" and than it would work in map tracer.
Now with 2.7 it doesn't look for LoadCalc, the programmer now changed it so it looks for "LoadMUT2Byte & RPMMUT2Byte
Basically all you have to do is rename the title to the item you use for your load reading to correspond to either of the above and the map tracer will work.
Just change the log reference to the name. so if using 2.6 you'll change log reference to LoadCalc wherever youre logging your actual load your tuning with.
and with 2.7 LoadMUT2Byte & RPMMUT2Byte. its really that simple.

nothing. you tic the left (wideband) and the loads light up. but be adviced from experience the RAW log is more efficient then a map tracer EVER will be. I do not recommend using map tracer. The raw log will give you play by play information. And when tuning the fuel map you dont want to just change the a/f where its being traced, you want to cover everything so you can assure a safe tune when the time comes to go through the gears.
if your map tracer isnt tracing sometimes you have to change the RPM settings on it from the drop down, etc.
Map tracer is good to dummy down the map when on the road tho i will say that. I use it for a reference sometimes as well when i get lazy. this is my first bbq
with a actual GRAPHING map like ecuflash uses. I only ever used dsmlink back in 2007, so i had no experience with actual real tuning. I like the graphs better tho, gives more control over everything.
