iv been trying to find a way to alter/double the load limit like mr freds rom mod but i cant seem to find the address point.i know the coding will be different between 5/6+789 cars.any help would be great.cheers.

 

If you have a specific rom I could tell you the address of the table and subroutine.
(And link, I only have the more common 5/6 roms.)


The table maxes out at 320 Load, so you will need to alter the code to get around that.


It is fairly simple to disable Boost Limit all together. (Just need to change 1 byte)

[I recommend not changing the Boost Cut Timer with the H8s, it seems to be used by other functions. I ran my car for a while with it at 1000000, and didn't notice any problems, but it could be effecting something I didn't notice.]

 

25570000 is the rom im concentrating on i know the boost limit address is 11af8 but i may be way off with my IDA loading of the rom

You can actually do double and x4 Boost Limit very easy.



This Sub, returns 1 in r0 if Boost Limited, or 0 in r0 if not Boost Limited.


The shll.w, is x2. Just remove one and you will have double Boost Limit. You will have to change the EcuFlash scaling to match.

Sorry John, I had a moment of stupidity. Please disregard the above.

Removing the shll.w will give you 1/2 Boost Limit not Double. You need to add another shll.w in there, which is going to be a lot harder.

Changing LoadIATBaro16_F1A4 and ECULoad16_F19E to there 8-bit counterparts might be one way to do it, maybe...
