Are you sure you implemented the fuel cut load x2 patch correctly?

If you want to 'disable' the fuel cut to be sure if that is the issue or not, set the delay timer to something big, like 30000ms (30 seconds).

I found a small boost leak, the tb gasket is bad. Could that be causing this? But why would it only effect 4th gear?

3g eclipse's max rpm is 6k rpm's, peak tq/load is in the 3.5k-4.5k range vs the evo. So at 53xx rpm the load's dropping off by then. The event's reoccurring at that same point as well but only in that gear which is the confusing part.

is that really needed?

ok back on point

how do your loads match up in 3rd and 4th gear ? high gears tend to have higher loads for more extended time. since your running a evo8 fuel pump it might be that. what turbo are you on and how many psi? again it might only happen in 4th gear because at that rpm your your in the load for a long time giving the car enough time to fuel cut. when tuning did you notice that that area 5k-6k when leaner that the rest? in stead of richer?

Load is about 10 higher in 4th than 3rd at 5300rpm. Evo8 turbo at 20psi. It never goes lean until fuel cut. Afr's are 11's then it will just spike aka fuel cut.

ok well try getting a wally 255 give that a shot... i mean honestly all i can think of is fuel pump.. the load beeing 10 higher may make a dif idk...

n keep ur beef private tell him that stuff via pm .. not worth gettin suspended or banned for.

i hope we can figure this fuel cut thing out. im no math wiz but you have a 2.4L and that is 20% more fuel then a 2L so just because a evo8 pump will do fine @ 20psi doesnt mean it can supply that 20% more at the same psi/load... just a thought.

Im gonna turn down the boost to 12psi wastegate preset, to see if its the pump running out. But if it still does it that leads me back to something in the tune/ecu.
