Fuel cut from a standing start.

This is really the only bug I've got since changing to the Evo VIII ecu. I'm running 96532706.

My car has a manual transmission. When starting from a standstill, if I allow the rpms to drop below 550 or so, and apply throttle, the fuel is cut. It's so abrupt you'd think the car just stalled, but my foot immediately jabs the clutch and every time I'm surprised to see the car is still running.

It's annoying as hell because I'm not in the habit of slipping my clutch much at all.

The last few times it wasn't so unexpected and as my face was traveling towards the horn I happened to catch my wideband reading at 20:1.

I have verified that it only occurs when the rpms drop low, right around the point of slight bogging, and then throttle is applied. As soon as I touch that gas pedal it's like instant fuel cut.

I haven't been able to figure out a solution yet.

I understand that it may not actually be fuel cut. At these low rpms, my injector pulse width is tiny, and it may just that I'm going that lean by opening the throttle body. Almost as if accel enrichment isn't working at low RPM.

I don't know what it is, but it's kicking my *** as well as giving me whiplash, I'm definitely open to suggestions.

Could be lots of things.

It's hard to say, without some logging. try to catch it in a log and post it up.

It could also be injector battery latency compensation....or simply not enough fuel in the fuel maps at these load/rpm cells.

Log TPS, RPM, coolant, battery level, timing, IPW, INjector duty cycle, fuel trims, air flow HZ, speed, WBo2s and 1byteload(or 2byte).
