Help needed, tuner wont reply and my tune is all over the place.

Hi All,

I am in desperate need of help. I have a race on next saturday and my tuner wont email me back and finish my tune. I am stuck with no option as my car is running very rough.

I have attached logs and as you can see my logs are all over the place, My tune is very rough and I am worried I am going to blow my motor.

Can someone look at my logs and see if there are any issues? also is the a guru on the forum willing to offer me some help? I can send my Hex files and all the data logs I have completed prior.

I am really stuck and would appreciate a fellow evom member helping me to get this working right.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Car is a JDM 2003 evo 8 6 speed,

Mods are plazmaman intercooler piping, crower 272 cams, cam gears, gruppe m air filter, blitz boost controller, car runs on 100 octane (shell optimax).

Currently car is running 20psi however the controller is tuned for 23psi.

rest of the stuff is all suspension etc.

Hi Aaron,

No, I have been chasing him for 2 weeks and he just wont reply.

I just posted up mods before, the car runs really rough and the AFR is all over the place, I am convinced my injector latencies ect are incorrect because my fuel trims look odd. I have up to 6 counts knock sometimes as well.

My AFR during wot currently are between 10.1 and 12.1.

I am just more conserned on getting the tune finished for my race.

most of the logs are not good. you only want to give your logs that show 100% TPS. It looks like its tuned for 12.2 a/f which seems awful lean for pump gas. its knocking uptop i would pull timing on your map where its knocking and see if the knock goes away. you understand how to read your maps with rpm/load?

the fuel trims are not registering also. you have to drive the car for a good 20minutes to get a idea where the mid trim is, and for low trim is all idle / closed loop stuff. (injector latency related)

if aaron is not to busy he can help you, but if you need other help i can help you also with basic stuff.

Hi Thanks,

To be honest, I paid a tuner because I do not understand how to read and tune a car, never done it before. I tried reading the forum help guides and it does not make sense to me.

I have quite a few logs that I can send, but I actually think the tuner did not copy across all my settings into the V7 rom so I am worried it will blow my motor.

If someone can help me I can do all the logs ect they need or do anything else they may require, its just more so I know the car is tuned properly and is aggressive for the track but at the same time safe so I do not blow anything.

what did you change (voltage) to get your a/f to 11.1 in that one log? the injector battery voltage?

for now just take the car out for a cruise and hold rpm steady for a good 20min let the MID fuel trim adjust .. need to make sure that is actually set good.. what determines that is your injector size scaling. its 7am in USA right now, so not many will be here to help u, especially on sunday.

As you can see I don't fully understand the effects of everything so I am really just looking through the forums for help, as I dont think my rom was setup correctly so its hard to know where to start.

set it to whatever it is supposed to be stock - there is no reason to be changing the latency on injectors if they are stock.

if what its supposed to be stock and its 12.2 your map needs slightly altered. you can send me your rom if you want and i will add some fuel according to your log. (12.2 a/f)
should be around 11.5 id think for pump gas 100octane.
