So I was messing with the idle MIVEC advance settings today because I'm getting cams installed soon and I just wanted to see how lope adjusts with cam degree increase/decrease. Couldn't get the stockies to lope so I just reloaded my previous map.

Now I'm only boosting 24psi max (as opposed to normally 29psi) and I'm could swear I'm running rather rich, especially on decel in gear and it seems to buck as well.

Is this a tuning problem or could I coincidentally have gotten a boost leak and it just happened to be while I was messing with the MIVEC.

Im guessing you accidentally saved over your original map and now your tune is off. It would be rather weird for a boost leak to come up now. haha.

But boost wouldn't really change unless you mess with your mbc or your wgdc in your ecu. sooo. You just need to back track i guess. then do a boost leak test. Stranger things have happened.

 

No I didn't save over the tune and even if I did, the only thing that was touched was the group of idle cells. That's it...

I also noticed today that in 1st and 2nd gear, it is boosting 21psi and slowly slowly creeps up. Not sure what to think of it...

 

What are you using for boost control? MBC? EBC? Stock boost sil? What are your afr's doing when boost starts creaping?
