the new tephra mod will let you do this. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...hramod-v7.html

If your setting up a prepatched ROM like one of those, typically do you just copy the immobilizer code or do you need to leave it blank? Versus the other option of modifying your ROM and patching it's corresponding XML file.

You will need to take your immobilizer from your current ROM and copy it in. So if your immobilizer is say 1060, you would enter it into the new ROM as 0x1060.

I checked out the mod thread and downloaded the needed xml file for my car. I did what it said and copied it to my ecuflash folder. Now I read the rom for my car and its not coming up with the added features. What did I do wrong?

Did you put it in the correct ROMmetadata folder? I assume yours is 88590015?

Yes I put it in rommetadata/mitsubishi/evo

Now here's a dumb question do I have to rename it from tephramod-xxxxxx to just 88590015

You need to rename it. Don't take this the wrong way, but looking at the questions in this thread, if I were you I would get pretty familiar with the basic workings of ECUFlash and EvoScan/Mitsulogger before moving unto to using the Tephra modifications. Failing that, find someone local that understands how to use the mods to help you, at least at first.

Good luck

I'll agree with Codgi on this one.

What? The v7 is 88590715. He should not remove the old 88590015 xml. Just add in the new tephramod xml to the correct rommetadata folder, and open the included tephra.hex or .bin file that comes with the download. That should be stock maps but all the mods. Cut and paste your maps over.

Nice catch. I forgot the v7 xmls are set up to use the new base xml differently than the old 5.1 xml I ran.

Thank you that helps. Any other initial setup features to copy before you make that first flash?

sounds like he was trying to open his stock rom and not the included tephramod.bin
