Ok I'm thinking that's the issue i'm having in the lancer auto rom. I'll try putting in those weird axis tables at the end of the code and see if i get a better result.

The code that goes into that map switcher (the included one) should be pretty easy to follow back to the source...

If you want send me your current disasm (or just the ROM) and I can have a look

RoadSpike out of curiosity do the SH Auto ecus have the stock "Map Switching".

The H8 ecus have a second set of maps for most of the tables. (Fuel, Timing, Idle, etc.)

These are selected depending on the Shifter position. (P, N vs 1, 2, D, R)

I'm not really sure to be honest I haven't spent an epic amount of time in this rom but i can tell you it mimics scary close to the evo GT-A rom which does do that so I'm going to hazard a guess of yes it does.

The Airtrek has one fuel and timing map for N, 1, 2 and another set for 3,4,5 gear.

I looked and it does use that weird index table of size 8.

I guess its a switching map but likely remains 0.

I haven't taken the time to see if mut request 34 changes at all
