im trying to help a friend of mine

here is the thing

he can not turn the car on with his own ecu
but w/ another ecu it starts up right away..
he was trying to flash it when his pc crapped out
over the phone he states that he tried flashing over the program again but nothing happened...

here is what the ecuflash is telling him

i have an X so i cant help him much, i do know X's can be benched.. could this be posible w/ the 9?
can a evo 9 ecu be benched?

check all the fuses

 

sounds like he doesn't have enough juice in his battery.....have him try hooking a car up with jumper cables to his battery and then flash (or a jumper box).

I have had this happen to me....stopped flashing mid way and then tried to flash again and the battery voltage had dropped low enough it wouldn't flash until i put jumper cables on my battery - then flashed fine.
