Help me pick out a new Laptop for Tuning
I've been starting to use a sony to tune that I already had for other things...
The Acer worked great until the screen went. That said, I'm not easy on laptops.

Honestly buddy, go for cheap and reliable.
I picked up a $300 referb and couldn't be happier.
Go for a brand name, not like ACER or other junk. Their **** always falls apart.
Cant go wrong with sony, hp, etc.

I have windows XP on mine because at the time windows 7 / Evoscan / ECU flash were having issues and compatability errors. I just opted for the XP. Like I said, I haven't had any regrets yet. The best part is that it fits in the glove box if you have to make a pit stop.
I just picked up one of these... works great!

Yes, I got an Asus Eee PC netbook too - even smaller than 1005PE. Mine was "1001P". Dirt cheap, very small, but it runs EvoScan and EcuFlash well enough. 3 x USB slots. Slow WiFi, slow processor, small screen, flimsy feeling DC charger plug. But did I mention "cheap"?

It's small enough to put in the passenger seat rear pocket - even with a USB cable sticking out the side of it.
The battery does in fact last for ages.

To the OP, buy the OS that best fits within your budget and long term goals. But don't buy it based off of incorrect information like the above.
