Hey guys, if in the global ignition settings you disable the egr system and leave the periphery bit FAA..... tables etc as is, would this cause the CEL to stay on?

Well recently I have been getting the p0403 egr malfunction. Checked vac hoses, their fine. Well started looking into my recent maps because I'm currently getting a email tune.

I realized that I didn't start getting the code till after the tuner sent me the last map with the egr system disabled and periphery bit tables left alone. And on the previous map the system was enabled and no CEL.

So would this cause my car to be throwing the code? If so I will renable the egr, seeing the CEL bothers me!

Enable it and see what happen...if it goes away then problem solved id say.
