my friend have several problems with his evo 7 with tephra v5 ,car was running perfectly but than suddenly started to show wrong rpm-s in evoscan , like 7800 when he revs only 7500 . second thing is heavy detonation ,which disappears after few pulls and car runs fine than. after cold start story goes again. any ideas?

 

Do you have some data logs we can see? I ran my E7 on 90550001 for a long time and had no problems that you describe. Post the ROM as well if it is not a commercial tune.

 

Can you replicate the detonation?

 

Have you tries your original rom to see if the problem persist?

 

i think we've solved the problem , he found shirt circuit in wiring, now everything works fine , thanks anyway , good to see E7 running here , my friend certainly will be happy to discuss some other moments about his JDM with you guys , if your don't mind .
