That is some good info. Really appreciate it...

28psi by 4200rpm... Like seeing timing pu to work during spool.

thanks again for giving insight on some different setups.

Curious Aaron, do you tune many customers on 92/93 around 11.9 on full noise?

Just that alot of tuners here in Australia that I've dealt with tend to be up around high 11's as well.

Why 11.9 on 92 Aaron? That is pretty lean isnt it?

Seems to keep the misfires away at 11.9 or so. The other thing is our sniffer works at the tailpipe, the onboard sensor usually shows a touch richer.

I have tested this before and posted but to recap, 11-12.0 FR is a difference of 6whp, past 12 on gasoline it just starts raising the EGT and no power seems to be made. Richer than 11.0 it drops power fast, 10.5 can kill 20whp like nothing. Not sure how I got in the habit of running 11.9 all the time, I have never run richer than 11.7 the whole life of the car. On meth injected cars I run them 11.0 but thats more to do with the inevitable pump failure and then going lean as is with boost and timing being high.

Ive read that somewhere you posted this... Good info for sure. Just surprising it doesnt cause knock with AFRs like that and timing.

Ive noticed that to about running anything below 11-10.9... power just dips low like it hit a wall.

I have ran my car to 12.5 to see what happened with power before and saw Zero gains. Going to 13.0 still didnt knock but the EGT started to jump. I have tested it as thoroughly as I know how and it seems high 11s to 12.0 works well enough without issues. My car was tuned that way for probably the last 40,000 miles and before that (6,000 and up) 11.7. Pistons looked great when pulled them out of the 2.0L and the 2.4 looks good as well with the borescope.

Yeah I target 11.7 which usually means it's 11.6-11.8 in most conditions. My stations I generally use are very consistent.

Do you think running in the High 11s reduces wear in the block? Have you seen any differences in the internals from a car tuned at low 11s compared to one tuned at high 11s?

I havent seen any differences, no. I just have been doing it this way without worry, it makes my extra 6whp and keep doing it that way. Like I said the only exception is meth cars and they all die premature deaths do to meth issues anyway.
