Call me dumb...

My problem is I just got tuned by a very knowledgeable friend and we went a little more aggressive and now it seems that I'm hitting fuel cut but only if I mash the pedal,if I ease the pedal to the floor it's ok? So I've been reading a lot on the wiki evoecu page and was wondering what table would need to be changed would it be boost desired engine load or is that only for ecu controlled boost? And also could it be a bad boost controller? Causing me to spike to high @ full load?

Car:Evo viii
Mods:turbo xs turbo back 3" no cat
Turbo xs uicp and licp
Turbo xs fmic
K&N filter w/ Maf adapter
Boost is around 22psi
TurboSmart mbc

THOUGHTS??

Its the nature of a MBC to cause a spike then taper off.

As long as the tune is good and youre not knocking, just adjust the boost limit table up in the rpm range youre experiencing fuel cut. I dont have my laptop in front of me, but it should be labeled "boost limit" or something similar and will be a 2d table with load values on the right hand side and rpm values on the left. Set those load numbers a little higher than the load you see. But not too high for safety reasons. 10-15 load higher should be good. Just keep an eye on knock as it sounds like youre hitting loads that your tuner didnt hit while tuning it.

If youre using a tephra V7 rom, you may need to adjust the Boost Limit x2 table. There is another table that tells the ecu which one to use. If its set to the x1 parameter, adjust the x1 table. If its the x2 parameter, adjust the x2 table.

hope that makes sense. GL

other possible problem (Unless youre sure its fuel cuts I had something like this) is if it feels like your car is hiccuping when you put the pedal down, or losses power, would be to regap your spark plugs. Try .022
