Used Evoscan for the first time! Results!

did a couple 3rd gear runs and came up with this!

what is boggling me is how I have not installed my lc-1, yet evoscan was able to log AFR? The values were very specific, ranging from 15.4XXXX to 10.7XXXX at redline?

how is that?

Those AFR values are probably the values that the ECU is reading from the fuel map. They are not your true AFRs that the car is running. You need to have a wideband installed in order to properly log AFRs.

also, I have no idea if I have a walbro. If im at 97.5% duty cycle at redline with no fuel cut and im making these numbers, would that be a fair indication that I do?

Possibly, but I don't necessarily think so... I think it also depends on how much boost you're running and even then it might be hard to tell. One thing you could try is to pull out the bench part of the backseat and listen for a medium-high pitch whine when the car is running. Walbros tend to be a little noisy and are known for the whine.

Fuel cut usually has more to do with the amount of boost you're running than the actual components of the fuel system. It's an ECU function that cuts fuel and boost when the load on the engine exceeds a certain limit set in the tune of the ECU to prevent overboosting.

How much boost are you running?

Yeah it's definitely possible that you're hitting fuel cut in the ECU. Do you have Ecuflash and have you learned how to download your ROM yet?

Yeah there is a ton of information on this forum about how to tune. I definitely recommend watching the Ecuflash training videos by Recompile and download a copy of Merlins Ecuflash Tuning Guide. Just do a quick Google search and you should be able to find both of them pretty quickly if you haven't already.

Here's the link for the EP version of the videos... lol There's only 6 of them but they're all about 30-45 minutes long but the information is pretty much invaluable. These are pretty much a requirement if you're going to try to tune your own car.
