I would say check the decel fuel settings on the AEM. Also, a setting/table under the idle settings may help too, as the issue can be cause by the IAC.

Thanks for the advice. I know is nothing mechanical. I have a new IAC. Still does it. Im no tuner so ill have to have someone check those tables.

I wasnt suggesting that you had a bad IAC. I was saying that the "hang" happens because the IAC is programmed to let air (sometimes too much air) by during decel.

I still have the same throttle hang and it hasnt changed with any of my tunes I have had including changes to the mivec, timing, or afr. I cant find anything that helps it nor can I find any table that effect it at all. damn IXs

Do you have a cable and your ROM?

Consult merlin's guide. Keyword search throttle hang in the pdf. There are two things you can fix, the decel fuel cut delay, and the idle stepper table. I'd do the decel fuel cut delay first since that cured my throttle hang 100%. Its also very useful to improve driveability too.

You should not mess with the Idle stepper table. It will affect cold idle.

The two areas are decel fuel cut delay (like you said) tables and the RPM adder tables.

This is for ROM 88590015 (USDM EVO IX). Add these tables to your .xml file.

<table name="Decel Fuel Cut Delay #1" category="Global Fuel Settings" address="3d6e" type="2D" level="2" scaling="uint8">
<table name="Load" address="6fc6" type="X Axis" elements="7" scaling="Load"/>
</table>

<table name="Decel Fuel Cut Delay #2" category="Global Fuel Settings" address="3d82" type="2D" level="2" scaling="uint8">
<table name="Load" address="6fc6" type="X Axis" elements="7" scaling="Load"/>
</table>

<table name="ISCV Demand RPM Adder (Moderated by Baro, IATS) (FFFF6EA8) (sub_204B6) [sub_1EFC0]" category="Idle" address="672a" type="2D" level="2" scaling="ISCV_AX2_8">
<table name="RPM" address="802a" type="Y Axis" elements="10" scaling="RPM"/>
</table>

<table name="ISCV Demand RPM Adder [rpm > 4500, load > 170, speed > 12 mph] (sub_1EFC0)" category="Idle" address="65de" type="2D" level="2" scaling="ISCV_AX2_8">
<table name="RPM" address="7fb0" type="Y Axis" elements="10" scaling="RPM"/>
</table>

Now for the settings..

You will just zero(0) out both of the RPM adder tables.

For the decel fuel cut delay tables, you will use the values below..

Hey Jay, the 2 decel fuel cut delay tables you posted have the same addresses as 2 of the ISCV demand tables from MrFred's ISCV disasembly. Those tables however use TPS rather than load for the left side. Here's a pic of what they look like with your values:

Yes, the two decel fuel cut table are actually ISCV tables, per MrFred. But I just use these definitions and settings because I know they work and I know they are the OEM setting for getting rid of the throttle hang, as they are the settings from the 03-04 EVOs that have no throttle hang.

Btw, your pic didnt post.

Makes sense. When I get home tonight I'll check why the pic didn't upload.
