30psi 0 knock on the 2 step!!!!!!!!
Well after about 3 hours of engine, laptop, cell phone, openecu, evoscan and florida mosquito torture I did it.
30psi and ZERO KNOCK on the step with the clutch pushed in AND with perfect seamless transition into regular maps from the launch maps.
Car is EVO 8
Mods: CAI, TBE w/ test pipe, FPred 84mm, MBC, JGS BOV, FIC 1050cc, walboro 255 w/ pressure valve mod, Griffin core intercooler made by ModularTurbo.com, FP oil feed kit, milspec TB seals, exedy twin, TRE helical front diff (shot peened), TRE rear diff upgrade.
Tune: E85 33psi tune by myself and Aaron @ English Racing
I talked with Aaron at great length prior to trying this and after some trial and error we discovered that minimal timing retard netted the best results. I read through the launch maps thread I tried what everybody else was doing and it didn't work for ****.
I attached the EVOscan log file for you guys to see. Notice the speed is zero and the timing advance never drops below -2.

I've seriously been trying forever to get stove 10 psi wit no knock and I can't get it.. may u post Ur launch maps social can learn what u did ? Def seems like -3 is my limit and is too much.
post a video i would love to hear the stock ecu at 30 psi it has never sounded as agressive as some of the other evos running aftermarket ecu
