9417 SD warmup issues
9417 SD warmup issues
Ive been EXTREMELY happy with the switch to SD. Im still running 100% open loop by zeroing out the Open Loop Load tables. Started out on the 3d VE 9653 variant, then switched to the 2d VE 9653 variant due to the stutter with the 3d VE rom. Warmup on both of those were rock solid. Slightly rich and smooth until warmed up, then back to 14.7. After fighting with the temp+baro comp load and timing/afrmap almost never lining up in my logs, I decided to go to 9417. Cruise and WOT are just about perfect on this rom now. But the only nagging issue I still have is warmup. It runs wicked lean and spits and sputters until the coolant temp gauge gets to operating temp. If I drive off before warmed up, the car acts fine, AFRs are where they are supposed to be. The issue is ONLY there when idling during warmup.
Ive zeroed out the Percent timing temp trim table, zeroed out the 3d table that goes with it, copied all of my idle/warmup/iscv tables from the 9653 rom, added to the values in the Maf comp vs coolant temp, disabled the Warmup timing retard in the peripheries; all one at a time with very little affect on the issue. EGR is unhooked and disabled, EVAP is still connected for now.
From what I can tell, timing during warmup is normal. I went down the "Percent timing temp trim" route per the thread below and also tried some of the other suggestions there. I did have to close the BISS some when switching to the 9417 rom, but not much. I dont think a boost leak would affect any of this since Im running SD. I dont think I have any, but havent done a test.

If my timing seems to be normal, is this 100% a fueling issue? Has anyone else on SD had similar issues? If so, what did you do about it?
Thanks

anyone have any suggestions? What bothers me is that its 100% fine with any other rom than 9417. Im doing a basic tune up this weekend, as well as a boost leak test. So I'll be able to rule that out.
