There is an EXE inside the zip, named AcidTune.exe and you will double click on that to start the program. It will go full screen and show the log loading window. (You must extract the zip somewhere first, don't run it from inside the zip)

There are example logs and example maps you can load to see how it works before using your own data.

Just log with Evoscan and point AcidTune at the new log file. The map files ending with .csv can opened with excel and edited. The number of rows and columns can vary as long as every datapoint has a numeric value and cell 0,0 (the upper left top cell) remains empty. If you open the example maps inside the "maps" folder you'll see the format. You just copy whatever map you wish to trace over from EcuFlash into this format and it can be opened with AcidTune.

There is another format too that can speed up map importing. That's the .aTSV format also contained in the example maps. Basically you open notepad with an empty new file. Open the map in EcuFlash you wish to import. Select the entire X axis of the map (for instance Load going left to right at the top), then press Control-C (copy) and go to the Notepad window and press Control-V (paste). Now hit Enter one time to move the cursor to the next empty line. Now go back to Ecuflash and select the Y axis (RPM for example) and do the same thing. Copy it and Paste it into the Notepad window. Press Enter once more to move to a new line. It will show one value per line instead of the way it looked the first time. Don't be worried. Now select the entire Data portion of the map. This is the whole grid where the timing would be set for example. Paste that into the file without pressing enter and simply go save it. This can be opened with the map loader and it will import correctly. See the examples if you are confused.

Let me know if you guys still have issues. Documentation has been lacking but perhaps I need to create something now that people are getting confused. I can definitely do a new video showing the full process of opening EcuFlash. I'll identify a Map to import and I'll go through the whole process.

Are more of you confused by this and keeping quiet? Please tell me so I know what to improve.

I was confused at first but after a few minutes of messing around I figured it out. .aTSV files aren't working for me though, I had to use .csv maps.

Most likely a bad whitespace character.... I placed very verbose error checking there so you should have received a nice error message explaining what was wrong in plain english. Let me know if you have some other crash or problem.

As I continue development I'll polish the loading routines and make them more permissive of invalid input. Feel free to email me what you tried. I'd be interested to take a look at it and see what people are trying to load. Maybe that's a sign a better format is needed.

Anyone care to suggest a better format to load maps? I can always write a new one if you guys want.... Or is this a documentation issue mostly? Feedback please

Right now I think it's mostly a documentation issue. I will try the .aTSV format again, if it doesn't work I'll email you the file I tried.

EDIT: Tried it again, no dice. I took the ignition.aTSV file you have in the example maps folder and copied in my map. I get the error "Number of columns does not match the number of X Axis datapoints"

I've attached the file I tried to use.
Attached Files
File Type: zip
Ignition.zip (543 Bytes, 0 views)

Alright, back in the swing of things. Just got back into town from out of state. I took a quick look at your upload Raptord, and the issue is there are extra tab characters at the end of lines 2 through 26. It was simple to detect in the loader and I've patched the code to handle situations like this. Expect a fix in the next release. For now you can make sure there are no extra tab characters after your Y axis datapoints when using .aTSV files.

No other updates besides that fix for now. Everyone enjoying the tracer? I find feedback is lacking here so talk to me guys! Also a small donation would be grand at a time like this. Still in crutches after 9 weeks since breaking my foot. It's been ages since I've been in my Evo. Medical bills are piling up and we just had to travel for a lost family member during my birthday. At this rate I'll have to sell my Evo and focus on bike tuning software! For now I'm still hammering away.... I'd love to hear from you all. Is this tool useful for you?

Cheers.

Sorry to hear all that man.... Happy belated Birthday anyway.

I just got my new turbo in, once I install it, I can finally play with your program

New Video uploaded last night that shows off the new features along with the new Live Graphing functionality.

The beauty of this system is that everything you see drawn in the video already has been implemented using the plugin system. The plotters, the live graphs, etc. These are basic small python scripts that allow the user to build custom views and custom rendering to suit whatever view may be necessary for proper tuning.

This also shows off the new cell tracing code as well as conditional cell highlighting to only highlight knocking cells for instance. The new snapshot feature is also seen here but not used in the video. That's the new camera icon on the map windows. Click that to export images and shuffle through them to compare saved plots.

Another teaser of course is that this video is showing a linux desktop running the linux version of the tool. I know I've delayed releasing that version but it is working and it's only a matter of packaging the build into a redistributable binary before it's ready to be released.

First post updated with the embedded video. 720P HD is available for detail so be sure to view at the highest quality possible.

Thanks for the notice Binky. I appreciate your mirror and I'm sure people downloading do as well.

Still working on the next version. Also retuning my car and finding new ways to view data for future features. I'll try to get a newer version out when everything stabilizes some more.
