Still working on the next version. Also retuning my car and finding new ways to view data for future features. I'll try to get a newer version out when everything stabilizes some more.
Sure thing buddy

First off this thing looks awesome. I'm getting ready to do some tuning soon and I'll have to try this out. Seems like the thread died out so I hope it's still being developed.

There are example logs and example maps you can load to see how it works before using your own data.

Just log with Evoscan and point AcidTune at the new log file. The map files ending with .csv can opened with excel and edited. The number of rows and columns can vary as long as every datapoint has a numeric value and cell 0,0 (the upper left top cell) remains empty. If you open the example maps inside the "maps" folder you'll see the format. You just copy whatever map you wish to trace over from EcuFlash into this format and it can be opened with AcidTune.

There is another format too that can speed up map importing. That's the .aTSV format also contained in the example maps. Basically you open notepad with an empty new file. Open the map in EcuFlash you wish to import. Select the entire X axis of the map (for instance Load going left to right at the top), then press Control-C (copy) and go to the Notepad window and press Control-V (paste). Now hit Enter one time to move the cursor to the next empty line. Now go back to Ecuflash and select the Y axis (RPM for example) and do the same thing. Copy it and Paste it into the Notepad window. Press Enter once more to move to a new line. It will show one value per line instead of the way it looked the first time. Don't be worried. Now select the entire Data portion of the map. This is the whole grid where the timing would be set for example. Paste that into the file without pressing enter and simply go save it. This can be opened with the map loader and it will import correctly. See the examples if you are confused.

Let me know if you guys still have issues. Documentation has been lacking but perhaps I need to create something now that people are getting confused. I can definitely do a new video showing the full process of opening EcuFlash. I'll identify a Map to import and I'll go through the whole process.

Are more of you confused by this and keeping quiet? Please tell me so I know what to improve.
Would it not be possible to have AcidTune use ecuflash definition files (which are just xml) and a rom file to read maps directly? Then maybe display them in window with check boxes to show/hide them on the screen. That would be incredible! Mostly because it would just be that much faster/easier to view maps instead of having to use multiple programs (ecuflash, notepad, acidtune) and copy and pasting...that takes a lot of time. Plus you have to go through it all again anytime you adjust a map. This way you just read the rom off the ecu with ecuflash, and can begin logging with acidtune.

Gutted to hear that.

Been meaning to try this out once I realised that the tool I wanted to make for myself was the same sort of idea - but it would have been barely a minuscule fraction of what you've created.

Best of luck for your future endeavours.

Wow that's terrible. I never realized they charged so much...that's ridiculous. Well you look like you have some skills, so best of luck with the game development. If you ever decide to work more on AcidTune let me know.

Thats a shame man. Hope your talents are better appreciated on the gaming forums. Although acidtune was turning out to be an amazing product.

Hi, you could try a donation ware model. Allow people to download the free version and unlock other features after a donation. I guess the other problem is there are other free and paid for apps that are well established.

I think it's great your developing this app, but what are hoping to achieve? Evoscan is pretty well established as a pretty cheap logging/mapping application, Evolive map logs and live maps, both have VDR and there is also Mitsulogger. But your software looks good and it great to see all the work you've put into it.

What's the status of this project?

I'm running different Linux versions on my Desktop and Notebook and putting together a Raspberry Pi System for logging/livemapping/...
I managed to get the tactrix 1.3 usb drivers for ecuflash "working" with my old debian squeeze setup on my notebook (which i cannot access any more tue to damaged encryption headers ). It wasn't very stable, often i had to fiddle around a bit until it worked, but i'll try to get it running on the current wheezy installation as well as the raspbian.

Anyways - a dedicated linux or true cross-platform solution of course would be the optimum.

After nearly 10 years of debian on my private PCs and some servers I could give a hand for linux testing/bugfixing etc if this would be helpful.
