Why? Are you switching to SD?

Just my preference. Car is mostly a track car. Again, I don't have any driveability issues.

It wouldn't cost that much to switch to SD and would solve your problems, if you really want to VTA.

Why? I refuse to believe that you are willing to sacrifice driveability to run a vta bov.

I'm not having any driveability issues!!!! The car runs great! Just poor gas mileage. I get 6 mpg at the track anyway.

I'm trying to figure out if I have a bad o2 sensor ,not a convo on why I want to go vta.

That is a driveability issue. I'm not trying to sway you to running a recirc, I just dont understand why someone would deal with such problems to run one.

On another note, try switching in the recirc valve for a little bit to see if it fixes your issue? If it does, atleast you will know what the cause is.

I'm trying to get my hands on a good o2 sensor to test it before I drop $350 on a new one.

I don't have any vac lines on the car any more except the bov, fpr and pcv. Did a boost leak check and everything is holding.

Denso makes the original O2 sensors.

So you changed the piping and the MAF is no longer calibrated. Wouldn't it be simpler to re-calibrate the MAF and injectors?

i put my money on front o2.

6 months ago, after making some changes to my rom including adding periphery bits and such i got a cel for p0031. my o2 checked out to factory specs with a multimeter, but turns out it was just the heater circuit that checked out, and the guy i bought my car from had shut off the cel in the rom previously, so it came back when i had the stock periphery settings flashed.

i logged o2 voltage yesterday after installing a new wideband and low and behold less than 1 volt at idle with afr in the low 11's.

they are very fragile sensors, definitely makes sense since you were changing the housing.

I think my O2 has just gone, AFR's in the 12's and runs on low octane maps when in open loop. O2 sits at the same voltage for awhile, so ecu is receiving a voltage to say its too lean, car just keeps riching it up until it hits the max then the O2 starts reading again. I have a Zeitronix ZT2, so will hook that up to replace the factory O2 as it has narrow band switching. Will see what happens tonight.
