Since it's starting to get colder out I now can't reflash my car first thing in the morning, I have to start it first. That's the same error I get if I try to reflash.
Ahhh.... low voltage.

Who did you buy the 1.3 cable from? Did it work previously and just randomly stopped flashing the car? If it was from Tuner Tools or EvoScan, there may be a pinout issue and thats why its not communicating. If its a Tactrix its most likely a driver issue. The only other thing I can think of is doublechecking the ground (the ALDL, the white one) and make sure its all good.

Thanks for the reply. I have a tactrix cable, in my case it was a low voltage issue. Let the engine idle for a while and no problem, read from the ecu. When I first tried I thought it was strange because I had like 12.x volts.

However, this cable never worked on my old computer with ecuflash 1.4x.... but I got a new computer and it works fine. Certainly seems like a driver issue on my old PC that I couldn't fix even with tactrix's help.

My cable was the problem. The continuity test showed this. If your having the same problem, a simple check is to grab a volt meter and read from the OB2 plug to the usb. Then your reflash connector to the usb. If your seeing no voltage on the reflash to usb, then you need a new cable. Make sure you slide the prong around in the usb connection. Sometimes it can be stubborn to get a reading.

Cheers!

I just had this problem last night, but it ended up working again after cycling the ignition. Glad you got it worked out though.

run it then open ecuflash
I tuned 2 evos last week, both previously tuned by a renown tuner. Apparently he locked the ecu, but this ecu-unlocker program worked like a charm.
