Massive amounts of knock

Hey all,

Its been a couple weeks since ive logged my car since i havent changed anything but decided to tonight since i noticed my CEL flashing for knock on the way to work this morning. My CEL is blocked by a steering column guage pod so i dont usually notice it unless im looking for it and I only drive about 3 miles a day.

Anyways, after looking at the logs im getting 20+ counts of knock at about load 90 and around 2375 rpms. I had about a 20 minute log and this happened quite a few times. Ive gotten 1-3 counts in this area once in a while before but nothing this bad. Its gotten colder in New England but not enough to make this much of a drastic change im sure. I was just cruising in the car so dont have any WOT numbers but wouldnt do it now with this going on.

Here are a couple pics of what happened and my timing map (work in progress). Im hoping its a boost leak or something and nothing major is wrong. The plugs have about 300 miles on them.

BTW: car is an '03, stock turbo, TBE-no cat, Walbro, DW 880's, Buschur FMIC & piping, grimspeed EBCS, pump gas, tephra v7 96530706

Thanks!

Crazy knocksum at low load and low revs. A lot of people tend to get the odd 1 - 2 count in the 2600 - 2700 rpm range, but yours is very high. Maybe add some octane booster to help rule out a fuel quality problem?

Are you seeing AFR's of 16 - 17 at about 137.8? What are your LTFT low and mid?

Also, you seem to have high levels of timing advance at 260 load and up, how does this work for you, are you not hitting those load values, so haven't really done anything there?

same problem here too

10-20-30 counts of knock at cruising and low rpms, even at ligtest throttle
after 1-2 minutes of driving it's gone, then repeats again and so on

I have moderate timing at that area (below 100 load), even 3 degrees lower than stock timing ! fuel 98 RON

I think it's just some mechanical noise that knock sensor picks up and retards timing like crazy

I've had the same gas in my car for the last 4-5 weeks and still have about 1/4 tank left. Ill fill up tonight and try some octane booster to see if that helps. Maybe with the temp changes I got some moisture in the tank.

I usually don't hit much more than 270-280 load though I've had some spikes close to 300. I don't run into any knock at that load, usually around 4-4.5k rpm, so I haven't touched it much.

Ill be messing with the car this weekend and hopefully can get this straightened out. Ill change plugs and stuff too
