P0325 and 8-9 counts of off throttle knock

Ok so Ive had this code for a while now. I have a brand new OEM knock sensor ready to go in if I need it, but I feel like somethings up and it IS NOT that the knock sensor is busted. It only happens while cruising at part throttle/no throttle.

Will a lot of knock cause this code to throw or is it really a fault somewhere, either it being the connection itself or an actual bad sensor? I really need to double check the connection first and foremost. I know its very rare for the knock sensor to actually go bad, which is why I want to really make sure its not something stupid before I replace it all together.

that code is knock sensor circuit malfunction.. i mean theres nothing more that would cause the code to trigger unless the circuit was literally malfunctioning. ive never seen that code on a evo before.

did you torque it to tight into the block when you installed it possibly? either that or something is damaged on the wiring to it where it plugs in maybe on the ecu end?

They are very fragile and break easy. Its loose or there is something wrong with it. The next easiest way to do know is log knock voltage and see if there is any. It could be loose and you get lucky but I have seen that code enough to know that if it trips its time for a new one.
