OK, P&P did not work. Using 1.3 cable produces the same results - low trims are logged and mid trims are staying zero ( F%^$%^$%^

OK, little update... It LOOKS LIKE if scaling is deadly wrong (short trims are -12.5% and it's a maximum I beleive) then mid trims are not going to chage at all. Now I;m reverted back to 1083 scaling and listed latencies and have short trim of -7.2% and mid trim of -0.75%. Should I decrease latencies now or what?

Yes, a negative fuel trim indicates that the ecu is decreasing fuel, therefore you should decrease your 14v latency only and leave the others alone. I would do it the smallest increment ecuflash will allow (decrement decimal value until the next lower value is changed in the 2d table)

Disconnect neg batt terminal and step on brake pedal to reset ECU. Start car and allow to get to operating temp (trims will all be zero). Shut car off, restart, trims will now update, and let idle for 4 updates of LTFT Low, then cruise for 4 updates of LTFT mid.

OK, one question so far - if I have Evo IX do I really need to disconnect the batt?

Could you please tell a bit more about why do we need to follow the reset procedure?

The question is due to the fact that on my EvoIX (EDM, ROM 88580714, stock ROM 88840016) fuel trims are being reset every time I reflash the ECU and after that trims are routinely updated during normal idling or cruise. Is there any particular reason to follow the above-described procedure?

Thanks in advance to those knowledgeable.

Answer is because your resetting all the known values that effect the way the trims work. Even if they are rest the car still keeps whatever settings it has therefor nothing is being changed.

Did everything like dude said. Everything is fine except it take a while to start updating low trims, they stabilized at -5.27% but mid trims never came out of 0%. More then an hour driving on a highway ~100 km/h. Any ideas why it could be?
