FIC1100: Mid fuel trims stay zero?

Gentlemen,

I've installed FIC 1100 injectors and cannot tune them. I've used 975 scaling for pump gas and latencies of

5.352
3.36
1.992
1.392
1.032
0.84
0.72

BUT... Here comes the problem. I have -10% -11% LOW fuel trims but MID trim stays zero all the time. How can it be?

I've tried adding up scalings all the way to almost 1175, but MID trims stay stationary, only LOW come around -5%, other hardly even respond to this. Could it be an IPW resolution issue? I don't have a resistor pack, can provide logs if it helps.

Thank you!!

Anton

For the mid trim to change you'll need to be over a certain Hz. At idle, the Hz will be in the low trim range. Mid trims should be active if you go for a steady drive. I normally go out onto the highway and drive at about the same speed and load for 20-30 mins to get an accurate figure.

his car routinely goes above that certain hz, being used daily, it should have changed in a week anyway, but it hasn't.

Yeah, it should be changing with normal driving. Are there any periphery bits disabled? Is the rear o2 disabled?

That's the point! But it does not...

Just like it's with Tephra V7 - no changes. Something look at particular?

No o2 rear is not disabled.

Do you have any values for O2 Feedback (STFT or whatever it may be called in the Evoscan .xml - the parameter that shows instant corrections based on the front O2 sensor feedback) during cruise driving?

stft is all normal and goes completely hand-in-hand with a wideband o2 sensor.
voltage from front o2 sensor is also loggable and within reasonable limits.
trim switch points for maf hz are stock. trims are switching whenever maf output crosses 80 hz.

could it be an ipw resolution issue? ipw in problem areas (ie, going from low to mid ltft) keeps switching between 1.28 and 1.53. do i need to apply a minimum ipw patch with these injectors?

O2 (STFT) work just fine. Low trims get updated (and are -12.5% AFAIK maximum or minimum they can reach) but Mids are zero

This happens to me once in a while. I just play around with the usb cable and turn evoscan off and on, then it starts to log mid trims again. Don't know if it'll work for you, but its free to try.

Have you reset the ecu? Any time I have had to log any trim I always reset the batter and start at 0%. Fuel trims will change every 6 mins or so and mid logs at anything above 120Hz or around 45 to 50 mph. I didn't see anyone suggest that but give it a try and report back.

tried all that guys, more ideas welcome. please keep in mind that zero trims isn't an isolated problem, a car hardly responds to scaling changes, that must be connected somehow.

This is very true... In whole range 975 - 1125 only the latest one has short trims around -6 -7% and every other setting is -12.5% (maximum one I guess). Mid trims are always zero (

OK, I'll try even to plug in my old 1.3 cable to see the difference... Thank you for your suggestion.
