Airtrek Roms?

I just did an AWD Auto swap on my Spyder. Since then I've been having random drive ability issues with shifting/TC lockup/etc.

There are two factory ECU leads to the TCU on a stock 2g setup. But on the Evo8 there are none, well not active ones anyways.

The Airtrek from what I've read came with an auto trans option and ran the same ECU as the Evo 8.

Anyone have a rom from one? Or know what those extra 2 pins are used for?

Thanks for any help!

It is? That ruins everything I was thinking.

Do they have roms available? Also, what does your TCU look like?

Auto AWD 2g. W4a33 I believe.

Swapped the engine harness, TCU, etc.

For Greg, thanks! Does your Airtrek have the tcu and ecu talking? Or are they completely separate?

Also, are they specific to the Airtrek or are they the same as the DSM?

You don't need anything to do with the Airtek or EVO then. Go to Kiggly's website he has all the information you need for the 2g trans.

The issue is that the factory 2g ecu has the two or more outputs/inputs for the TCU. The car does not seem to shift correctly at correct speeds/rpms/load/etc like it did with the factory ecu.

Thats the whole reason for this. If the Airtrek uses the method for the TQ lockup, etc as the dsm ecu, everything will work great!

This is also a reason why some auto guys go from the Evo 8 ecu to the 98-99 dsm ecu.

But thanks for the link!

Just looked through that website, your ecu is your tcu....

Its all in one, ecu does everything.

The Airtrek ecu and Evo 7 GTA use the same ecu but different roms. I have no idea on DSMs as my country doesn't have any.

Airtrek auto is also 5 speed, so assume yours is a 4, so not sure how an Airtrek ecu would handle that.

Yep, That would not work unless I got a ecu and matching wiring harness.

Thanks for everyone's help/input!!

Back to the drawing board.
