Dtc patch question

So after reading through this thread....
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...p1238-etc.html

I have a question. Will this allow me to completely remove the rear 02 sensor and replace it with a wideband 02 without popping any codes?

should do.

although for USDM EvoX's the procedure is a bit more complicated

there is a thread somewhere that gives exact instructions... it might be on EvoXForums ./..

eek. if youre saying it is complicated that does not make me feel confident in doing it myself.

I did a search here and on evox and couldn't find it. Does anyone now the link?

Is it better to just leave the original rear 02 in and add a bung?

I just got a new dp and tp, not sure why I didn't buy it that way right off the bat????

In Texas they will fail the car for not setting a DTC when they send a simulated fault for the rear 02. I don't know when they started doing that, but I was kind of surprised when a customer brought a print out from the inspection station. Put a fowler on the sensor, and run if you are worried about emission inspections.

After installing my ETS downpipe and ETS testpipe I started throwing DTC code P0140 everyday.

P0140 = Heated oxygen sensor (rear) curcuit No activity detected.

The test pipe has the "J" pipe to take the o2 sensor out of the main exhaust stream.

So hear is my confusion, without the cat, wouldn't I be running values too HIGH rather than "no activity detected".

I have even even the values with evo scan and the sensor reads "0"

Did I somehow break the sensor during install?

Need some help here...
