Misfiring on Lift-off changes.
Misfiring on Lift-off changes.
Hey guys,
Came across an interesting issue the other day that I havent seen before.
Tuning a JDM 8 on E85.
- Usual intake/exhaust mods
- 1050's
- S1's
- Dual port Turbosmart BOV
When doing a pull through a gear, say 3rd. Go WOT and then lifting off and letting the throttle trail the car runs on 3-cyls instantly for 1-2 sec. This clears quicker if getting back on the throttle but still easily noticeable.
Can replicate it by brake boosting tuning spool areas and lifting off.
When this happens the wideband goes from ~12.0 on WOT to low 10's until the miss clears then drops out of range when the injectors cut off I'm assuming, seems to be going into closed-loop and not referencing the main fuel tables.
Would the open loop tables affect this?
Had a play with the decel tables but this only seems to cause throttle hang.
Any tips or ideas?
Cheers.
